With the success Travco achieved in the 2006 rally, as the official travel partner in the International Cross Country Rally, the leading leisure company in Egypt announces that the International Cross Country Rally of the Pharaons 2007 gets underway from September 29th till October 7th, 2007, under the patronage of the Minister of Tourism Mr. Zohair Garannah. Marking the 10th JVD International Cross Country Rally, the race will start from Cairo heading off to the western desert’s Oases. This year, Rally of The Pharaons 2007 gets more challenging and exciting as the phases face more rocky terrains and a longer range than ever. Due to the success of last year’s Rally, JVD
International renews its confidence in Travco as the official travel partner for this year’s event. Travco has always been keen on sponsoring such international events to further enhance the Egyptian tourism market and promote Egypt as one of the top destinations on the sports tourism map. This year, the rally promises to be a longer and a more exciting adventure than the International Cross Country Rally of the Pharaons 2006. This year, JVD International S.R.L enriches their fans experience with the extended drive in the Egyptian desert, over 70 metres-high dunes, majestic canyons, extraordinary pinnacles of sand, and soothing oases. Travco is now actively engaging in the pre-event travel arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of all the contestants and the accompanying delegations’ travel related affairs guaranteeing an unmatched reception of the convoy from beginning till end.

The first stage of the 2950 km- long race will start at the Sphinx on September 30th pushing south to Baharia. From there, the rally’s second stage begins, heading to Sitra. The rally’s third stage is from Sitra to Siwa and the forth stage is from Siwa back to Sitra. From Sitra, participants race to Baharia in the fifth stage and back to Cairo again in the sixth stage, where they reach the rally’s final stage and race back to Giza on October 6th, 2007 to end the rally followed by the final ceremony to announce winners. Launched in 1982, Jacky Icks, Vincenzo Lancia and
Daniele Cotto, famous rally pilots, converted their passion for engines and adventures into JVD international organization for rally competitions in1998, where great performances, unspoilt nature experiences and true adventures are combined. By
2000, this competition became credited by the FIM Tout Terrain World Championship and has since gained the eminence in which it stands today as the most recognized Rally.
