As part of its endeavourers to tap promising
markets and strengthen its status, Travco
co-participated in the Far East Road Show with
the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce
Marketing (DTCM), which took place in five Far
Eastern cities, including
Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and
Guangzhou from May 21st - 30th, 2007. At the Far
East Road Show, Travco introduced its latest
development projects in Dubai and Egypt and shed
light on its upcoming safari programs and desert
excursions in both countries. It also met with
international tour operators and promoted Egypt
and Dubai as top destinations in the Middle
East, highlighting the budding development
projects and the tremendous growth in demand
witnessed in both tourism industries. Egypt and
Dubai have been high in demand for Chinese
travel agencies. Thus, Travco
China is focusing on initiating business with
top Chinese travel operators and agencies to
include both Middle Eastern cities in their
programs next year. Travco throughout this road
show managed to meet up with buyers from Asian
countries, namely Japan, Korea, India, and
Pakistan; in addition to Australia and Greece.

India are
looking forward to FIT business with Dubai and
Egypt. The Dubai Road Show kicked off in
Singapore on May 21st – 23rd, then moved to
Kuala Lumpur and then to Bangkok on May 25th; it
took place in Hong Kong on May 28th and in
Guangzhou on May 30th. Commenting on the great
experience gained in partaking in this foremost
event, Far East Manager of Travco Dubai Ms.
Julie Liu says, “The Far East is being viewed as
a market, holding a huge potential in terms of
visitor arrivals to Dubai,” she continues, “This
road show targeted a wider audience to this
region and the occasion gave us the advantage to
promote our products and services.”
Taking part in the Road Show were 24
coparticipants comprising of 15 tour operators,
six hoteliers, Dubai Department of Civil
Aviation, Emirates Airlines, and DSS-DSF,
conducting networking and business exchanges
with the Far Eastern travel trade industry
players. For the first time, the department has
organized a road show series of this scale with
more than 800 representatives of the travel
industry attending and conducting presentations,
and a mini exhibition. The focus of the road
show this year is on Luxury Travel Market. |
