During EgyptAir’s successful participation at the ITB in Berlin, 2008, several meetings were held regarding the possibilities of enhancing the tourism movement between Germany and Egypt, in order to increase the number of incoming German tourists as they are considered one of the most important source markets, with a 22% increase in German visitors in 2007 as opposed to 2006.
Additionally, they were pointing out the advantages of Egypt’s international airports for being centrally positioned amongst Africa, the Middle East and the Far East.
Consequently, EgyptAir announced during the convention that there will be an increase in the total weekly flights between Egypt and Germany reaching 20 flights, whereas there will be 3 weekly flights to Berlin, daily flights to Frankfurt and Munich, and 3 weekly flights to Düsseldorf; in addition to the joint flights between EgyptAir and Lufthansa, and 3 weekly flights from Alexandria. |
