On Thursday the 13th of March 2008, Imperial Restaurants Boat witnessed the launch of its new venue, Purple Lounge & Bar – formerly known as Bliss. Set to be Cairo’s latest posh night spot, Purple is a plush and mystical lounge, surrounded by magical panoramic views of the Nile, and offers its customers the scrumptious dining choice of exotic Thai cuisine, as well as an exclusive selection of Sushi. The private launch party was attended by Cairo’s elite and hip community, who danced the night away in their theme-driven Purple attire to the carefully selected lounge and commercial beats, played by one of Cairo’s top DJs.
