Travco Group’s Significant Presence at the ITF

One of the biggest annual travel industry events in the Asia-Pacific region, the International Travel Fair 2007, Taipei ITF, was held from December 14th to 17th with 861 exhibitors, 128 trade buyers including 104 representing foreign agencies and operators, and 14 from Taiwan.

According to WTO estimates, tourism in the Asia-Pacific region will grow by 4% next year. The aforementioned operators decided to take part in the ITF after evaluating the potential of the Asia-Pacific market and Taiwan.
This was Travco’s second presence at the ITF, and for the first time with the Group’s official renowned partner in Taiwan since November 2006, the "Four Seasons Travel Taiwan"; which is the 3rd biggest wholesaler in the country in terms of the volume of travelers, and their productivity is around 100 tourists weekly from Taiwan to Egypt. This year, they signed an exclusive contract with Travco for Egypt and the UAE, and are using the Travco name on their catalogue as their official partner.

With the official joint venture between Travco and Four Seasons Travel, both companies were promoting the UAE and Oman, given the Travco Group’s massive current and future projects in both destinations.

Both Mr. Tom Liu, managing director, and Mr. Ramadan Lotfi, director of sales, at Taiwan Four Seasons Travel, invited all the travel agencies in Taiwan to the Travco stand, and promoted all the services provided by both companies. Additionally, they gave a seminar to 58 different travel agencies, where they introduced Travco and introduced all the travel packages and services that the company was offering for the coming year 2008, such as trips to Alexandria, the Red Sea, Cairo, and the Nile Cruise destinations.

Due to the great interest in Nile Cruise programs that was shown by the Taiwanese market, Travco customized a program for the market. The “Prince of Egypt” program included a trip from Taiwan to Cairo, where they will then go on a Nile Cruise, followed by a flight to Dubai where they will enjoy a short program in the cosmopolitan city, and then fly back home to Taiwan.
