The Group’s latest projects in Hurghada, JAZ Sahl Hashish and JAZ Soma Star, are currently under construction bringing the Red Sea hotels’ portfolio to 16 hotels and resorts with capacity of 3,900 guest-rooms and close to 3,700 residential units.
Due to operate by mid 2009, and after 18 months of construction work on an area of 100,000 m, JAZ Sahl Hashish will be located at about 20 km South of Hurghada International Airport. With direct access to a tranquil beach, the five-star resort will comprise 300 guestrooms as well as 200 residential apartments, and an entertainment centre.
Also positioned in the South of Hurghada is JAZ Soma Star, which will be a huge complex consisting of four hotels and resorts located by a calm and relaxing 400 meter beach front, an area with residential apartments that will be offered for sale, and a retail area; all built on a 350,000 m landscape. With the idea of having a full-fledged resort in mind, the massive property will include a shopping mall, a variety of retail stores, an aqua park, a discotheque, several specialty restaurants serving different cuisines, and a number of sports activity centers.
