According to a recent survey conducted by the travel website TripAdvisor, a Google search of Makadi Bay turns up dozens of websites, all of which proclaim that Makadi Bay, Egypt, came in second on this list, with nothing else to follow. If one types Makadi Bay, one will find Egypt's resort oasis on the shore of the Red Sea, just 35 kilometers south of the tourist city of Hurghada. It is a “small beach resort where all the facilities are hotel-based” according to tour operators. And, indeed, that appears to be true, as reviews of resort hotels in Travco Group’s Madinat Makadi in Makadi Bay, such as the Iberotel Makadi Oasis Hotel, Sol Y Mar Makadi Marine Hotel, JAZ Makadi Star Hotel, Sol Y Mar Club Makadi Hotel and Sol Y Mar Makadi Sun Hotel are more plentiful, and positive, than any references to activities available outside the resorts.
