March 10th to the 13th of 2008 witnessed the inauguration of the All4ships Seatrade Fair in Miami. Seatrade is an international meeting place for quality cruise line visitors and cruise industry suppliers, where major cruise lines are present to explore the issues impacting the regional prosperous cruise sector.

Travco Group’s MICE and Shore Excursion division, represented by Mr. Samer Samir, department manager, participated in the fair promoting its varied excursion programs and itineraries in Egypt’s ports of call. Throughout the fair, visitors as well as other exhibitors showed a significant interest in Egypt; that it was widely recognized as one of the major tourist destinations, and was increasingly popular and targeted amongst the European, American, and worldwide markets.

Major cruise lines were approached during the fair, with future plans of teaming with them and expanding. Several new excursions were introduced to provide entertainment at Egypt’s ports of call, such as historical tours in both Cairo and Luxor, as well as leisure activities including diving and safari trips.
