The Abu Dhabi Tourism
Authority (ADTA) organized the second
edition of the Gulf Incentive, Business
Travel and Meetings (GIBTM) Exhibition, that
took place in Abu Dhabi from April 8th till
the 10th, 2008. The key aim was to tap the
immense growth opportunities that the
high-yielding Business Tourism sector offers
as the UAE's largest emirate to move forward
with its ambitious tourism development
agenda.
Travco ADNH, Travco’s latest division office
based in Abu Dhabi - a potential venture
with Abu Dhabi National Hotels - partook in
this event that offered the opportunity to
signify Travco’s strong presence in this
booming Emirate. Travco Oman also took
advantage of the occasion to advertise its
expertise and the sound establishment in the
region. Travco ADNH was represented by Mr.
Aymen Fouad, branch manager, and Travco Oman
was represented by its General Manager, Ms.
Jacquie Blaylock.
The three-day high-profile gathering of
decision-makers of Meetings, Incentives,
Exhibitions and Conferences (MICE) industry
provided an ideal platform to reach out to
the global players and enable them to take a
closer look at the business tourism
potential of Abu Dhabi and the robust growth
opportunities regionally.
The ADTA's specific strategic objectives are
to position Abu Dhabi as the premier
business tourism destination in the world.
The event enabled to create better awareness
of the destination and effective networking
to attract MICE business from different
parts of the world.
